Note that this is a function of design not price. In fact if you put a piece of paper in front of the fan it almost seems to be sucking it in. Most pedestal fans have a fairly large footprint. I got a super cheap tower fan to use at work and air rockets out of it.

Not only does an electric fan blow air in the direction in which it is facing it also circulates the air in the room. I need a fan on me to sleep not just the noise but the breeze as well. But this adjustable pedestal fan is slim enough to not take up a lot of floor space in medium to large rooms. Fan blades gather a tremendous amount of dust and debris that then settles behind them away from the force of the air. I have an oscillating fan that is running on the highest settings but even right up in front of it you can barely notice air moving. Without a properly functioning ac when summer temperatures rise into the 90s and 100s you are not just uncomfortable indoors it can actually be dangerous for humans and household pets not to mention potentially harmful to your appliances and electronics.

The blades are spinning fine and while there is a bit of dust in the cage it s not nearly enough to block the flow of air completely. The air movement feels like it is the same for the overall height of the fan not including the base. Another way to describe electric table fans is as circulating fans. Okay the fan is great.

When the sun is out and temperatures are brutally high homeowners know that it s critical to have a working air conditioner. Problem is my fan has slowly stopped working. But it s not blowing air out the other side either. If that s not an option grumble a bit and spend the extra money to buy something like a vornado that will not suck for sure.

Quiet enough and the volume of air it moves is impressive. It may not be an air purifier but frankly that feature on my 400 fan didn t seem to make any difference in air quality anyway speaking of air quality the rest of the fan gets high. It is not unusual for the bearing that the fan blade unit turns on to become so clogged with debris that it cannot turn.
